Our Story

Like many modern love stories, ours started with a swipe.

In early 2023, Dingyan was temporarily based in Manila to support the Shopee Philippines IT team. During his time there, a chance match on Bumble introduced him to Loren, who was working nearby in Ortigas.

What started as a simple match quickly turned into conversations they both looked forward to every day. Hours seemed to pass effortlessly as they talked about everything and anything, discovering how naturally they connected and how comfortable they felt with one another.

A few weeks later, they met for the first time over a quick drink at Koomi in Podium Mall during a lunch break. The meeting was brief, but Dingyan was instantly drawn to Loren's warmth, kindness, and the sweet smile that had first caught his attention online.

As they got to know each other, one moment stood out above all others. When Dingyan fell ill while alone in Manila, Loren sent him fruits and medicine to help him recover. To her, it was simply a small act of kindness for someone far from home. To him, it meant so much more. Her thoughtfulness and compassion left a lasting impression and made him realize just how special she was.

By their third date, just three weeks after matching, Dingyan already knew he had found someone special and asked Loren to be his girlfriend. She said yes.

Since then, much of our story has been written across airports, cities, and time zones. Over the years, our adventures have taken us through 14 countries, each one adding another chapter to our story. From island hopping in the Philippines to wandering the streets of Europe together, every journey has brought us closer together. And with many more destinations still waiting to be discovered, we cannot wait to continue exploring the world side by side.

In December 2025, during a trip to Europe, Dingyan planned a photoshoot in Paris with the Eiffel Tower as the backdrop. What Loren thought was a special couple's photoshoot to capture their trip soon became one of the most memorable moments of their lives. As she turned around from a portrait shot, she found Dingyan down on one knee, ring box upside down and all, asking her to spend the rest of her life with him. Through happy tears, she said yes.

What began as a chance swipe in Manila became the love story that brings us here today. Thank you for being part of our journey, and we look forward to celebrating this special day with all of you.
